Job Description
Key skills required for the job are:
Networking Admin(Mandatory)
Minimum work experience:3 – 5 Years
Networking ( CISCO / Nortel ) Data – L2
Minimum Qualification Criteria: Nortel/Avaya data products hands-on is must and expertise on Avaya data products ERS 8600 8300 5000 series wireless controller along with other proprietary protocols as SMLT MLT VRRP RSMLT. AVAYA/CCNA certification is a must.
RnR :
Must Have sound knowledge of Network terminology and relevant concepts.
Experience of 3-4 years with Nortel Data Network and good understanding of SMLT/MLT architecture.
Hands-on midrange and layer 2/3 switches and routers for examples Nortel 4500550056008300 and 8600.
Nortel Certified Support Specialist certification. i.e. NCSS ERS- 8600
Monitoring & Managing Avaya Data Switches.
Handling network issues related to Data Avaya Network.
Troubleshooting Avaya Ethernet Switches (Avaya 55105520 5600).
Understanding and hands on Avaya Ethernet Routing Switches 8600 8300 5510 55205600 4500 425 etc.
Handling Nortel Wireless Infrastructure includes Nortel Wireless Security Switch to manage wireless Access Points.
Understanding of Nortel/Avaya technology & propriety protocolsVRRP RSMLTSMLT and MLT
Understanding and hands on Avaya Ethernet Routing switches.
Managing Cisco Core Distribution and Access Switches
Basic knowledge and understanding of protocols OSI model and Networking.
Monitoring toolVPFM Solar wind COMIPFLOW Cisco work
Preferred Certification &ndash CCNP or equivalent such as Nortel Network Support Specialist
Must have good understanding protocol working such BGP OSPF HSRP Multicast.
Must have understanding of security products such as FW/ LB/ Proxy etc.
Must have exposure to projects & processes.
Must have understanding of operations such as Change Management Backup Management FMEA etc.
Should have knowledge of Wi-Fi operation
Roles & Responsibilities:
“As a Senior Administrator, you should be able to handle first point escalation fortechnical and process issues. Provide technical subject matter expertise wherever required. Ensure proper communication and quick resolution as a crisis manager. Plan and schedule Changes, Coordinating with different stakeholders. Perform RCA for Major Incidents related to his / her tower Follow quality / security process defined for the engagement. Perform Trend analysis, identify top few incidents and work with respective teams/individual to minimize the incidents, Hardware troubleshooting & Vendor coordination Prepare Weekly and monthly status reports. Participate in business meetings with various stake holders on a need basis. Take corrective actions based on the customer satisfaction surveys. Work on the service improvement programs. Effort estimation/reviews on need basis for new projects. Training of new team members. Able to work on Knowledge acquisition and updates to related documents”
